Sloppy Joe Flappens was a Key West also-ran songwriter that played Key West, recorded one amazing LP, lost three fingers in a boating accident and disappeared from the music scene altogether, running fishing expeditions and generally doing the least he could. When he died in 2018, this classic LP resurfaced due to his chance encounter and long distance friendship with Doug O'Donnell from Dr. Dog.
